Today's Ramblings

-On my way to the gym this morning, it was 5:30am (yes it is a Saturday), I was in awe at how many cars were on the freeway. I had a moment of pride for all the people keeping their New Year's resolutions to get up early every day and work out. I mean, where else would they all be going that early on a Saturday? Nothing else is open except the dirty, sweaty, torture chamber house in a mirrored building called the gym.

Sadly, when I arrived at my torture chamber there weren't all that many cars; maybe they were all going to the mountains to work out instead.

-Today was quite a successful Saturday school as I had 30 kids in my room the entire time. Well, either it was successful or I just have a TON of kids failing and I'm really good at threatening them to get their butts in gear and make up their work.

-Some people are shoppers; I am a looker. Costco was a great looking experience today, even though there were WAY too many people getting into my personal space. I quite enjoy looking at the dishes (I am a dish whore) and debating if it's worth it to buy the amazing, gorgeous serving dishes, even if they come with a gravy boat I'll never use. Looking at all the types of meats I'll never eat is quite interesting as well.

-Sometimes, nothing can quench the need of a drink better than a Wendy's Diet Coke. Wendy's has THE best fountain soda. Yes, soda is bad, I know (didn't drink it all through high school) but sometimes, you just gotta have the burn!

-My mail carrier is HOT! He had the blue shorts on today, and when I came up around the hill to my house, he looked at me and smiled. Took all I had not to go ask him for my mail right then. Maybe when I see him next I'll wave AND smile; never dated a man with a uniform ;)
