Never a dull moment in the workplace for me! If I had known the kid better, I could be sitting pretty with a $100 to spend. That is until the big boss started his investigation and took it away!
Interested? Here's the scoop.
A kid was talking to another kid about how he needed some money, and this other kid pulled out a $100 bill and told him he could have half of it if he could help him break it. Well, that led to a teacher, who overheard it, to wonder where one of our kids came up with $100 bill.
More research resulted in this little story.
Another kid had apparently stolen $1000 in $100 bills, yes I wrote $1000, from his aunt's house and was feeling guilty about stealing it, so he decided to pass it out to his friends! Boy do I wish I was his friend, that is until all the students were hauled in to the office, those the kid could remember passing out money to, and were interrogated about where they put the money.
So far $400 has been recovered in cash.
Another $200 was supposed to show up today from two separate set of parents who had taken it from their student to spend this weekend.
$200 was smoked in weed; if you know the street value of marijuana, $200 is A LOT OF WEED! Ironically, when our principal called the high school of the student who had taken the $200, the student was busy in interrogation from having just been arrested for smoking in the back of the school! Well, hello, that's a lot of weed to have to get high on; no time for dallying around with school work.
The last $200 had been spend by two different families who TOOK THEIR FAMILY OUT TO DINNER TO CELEBRATE THEIR CHILD 'FINDING' $100 BILL!!!!
Seriously people, I need a friend who has guilt about having money, no matter how you get that money, and just randomly hands me a $100. I have student loans to pay, every little bit helps :)
I'm simple, I'll even take a $50.

When you find this friend, can I be friends too?
