While I was working on my project this past weekend (yes it has to be ready by 4.29.09), the programs froze, as did the mouse.
Shut it down, restarted, still frozen.
Made an appointment today, well Funaki did as I have no computer to access, to meet at the Genius bar at the Apple store downtown.Daryl, my assigned 'Genius' had to walk away with my computer because I was making him a bit nervous due to my state of 'I'm going to freak out on you if you don't fix this'.
He didn't come back with a smile; didn't come back with good news at all.
My MAC hard drive is shot, gone, dead, and everything I've worked on for the past two years is gone with it.
The MAC 'genius' (whom I'm not thinking is so genius) said I'd be lucky to get my computer back in 5 days with 30% of my 'stuff' back.
Yep, definitely time for the nervous breakdown.
Do you think my professor will really believe me when I say my hard drive crashed? Two weeks before my defense is due?It sounds like the kids who say the dog ate their homework.
If only I had a dog.
I'm so screwed, I don't even know what to do.
So, I'm at my mom's house, typing on my blog, trying to not think about the breakdown I'm really, really going to have.

J-
Oh my goodness! I am dying for you. I wish I could help. I wish I knew anything about MACs. I don't think I will ever get one, since you are the 2nd person I've heard this happening too. Although, I guess this probably happens with PCs too.
I really wish I had something great to say to calm your nerves. How about. . .
One day this is going to make for a hilarious story?
Hang in there Jomamma! We're going to pray double time for you. BTW...coming at the end of May for my bro's wedding, and want to see you! We can drown our sorrows in gluten-free goodness. :)
