The Young Victoria

I was born in the wrong time period. I should have been born in the 1800's, to royal family, or at least to a duchess (I'm not stupid enough to think just being born during this time period will do.  I'd only want to live then if I had money; no peasant life for me).  My obsession with all things British (well, all things early British with monarchs, and kingdoms, and corsets) continues with this movie. 

It was beautiful, breathtaking, and almost brought a tear to my eye.  The love story is the highlight of course, but I loved everything else about it as well.  It is definitely going to be added to my British genre of films (A bit ironic that my newly bought copy of 'Persuasion' and 'Catherine the Great' arrived in the mail today).

Thank goodness my friend Caitlin is a British fanatic as well as she willingly went with me, even though it was her second time viewing the amazing piece of film.  We both agreed that we can't wait to add it to our 'British nights' in the future.
