People keep asking me how school is going. Well, I'm not in school anymore so I'm sure school is going fine for those who are IN school.

My JOB, however, is going as it always does. I'm not particularly thrilled or sad to be there. It's a job. I don't love the kids, nor do I dislike them. There are a lot of things to get used to this year, the new principal, the new block schedule, 1st period prep, things of those nature. I'm still the team leader and am hoping that I actually get something accomplished in that area this year since I'm not longer wicked busy.

I do keep hoping something fantastic will come my way though so I can leave teaching and be an all important Instructional Designer. We'll see.

Until then, here's to lesson plans, disciplining 8th graders, team activities and professional learning communities.

I miss you too! I stopped at the school this summer and it was weird to see all the changes. Also I hope everything goes good this year for you. I am really enjoying the time with Mack. He is the greatest thing I have every done. I love being his mom.

You may have to just get over it and accept that people are always going to ask how school is. You may not be the student, my friend, but you're part of the whole process. ;)
